With the success of our first seasonal flavor, Perfect Pumpkin last October, we decided to keep the seasonal flavors going year-round! We thought about many different flavors for our “Winter Wonder” addition this year. We thought about peppermint, gingerbread, apple pie, even cranberries, but in the end, we decided to go with traditional sweet potatoes. Sweet Potato, sometimes known more popularly as yams, seemed to be the perfect fit.
We use human grade sweet potato chunks, that we puree and package here at the Barkery. The sweet potato gives out biscuits an orange tint, with flakes of potato running throughout. The sweet potato is not only tasty to dogs, but also full of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. In addition to being packed full of vitamins and minerals, the sweet potato is known to aid in overall gut health for both people and dogs.
With November already almost over, we are looking ahead to our next seasonal flavor. Our next seasonal flavor will be released in January and will focus on the holiday of love, Valentine's Day. We have some ideas, but we sure would like to hear your suggestions. Send us ideas on social media, you might just have the flavor idea we are looking for!
